Keesha Danielle, born and reared in the Dirty South, Memphis, TN. Inspired by childhood friend, Shuford, aka Bishop Da Butcha, Keesha Danielle jumped head first into the music industry at the age of 16, joining a duo called “Playaz from da Underworld” which included herself and Bishop. Music was her way of dealing with the woes of life. Their first single, Bonnie and Clyde, was the first of many tracks they would perform together. During her time with Bishop, she perfected her craft and lyrics, performing on stage and in the midst of excited crowds.
By the time she was 17, Keesha Danielle began entering high school talent contests, excelling as the victor and through the years, building her resume and music repertoire. She later joined other rap groups including Three Sides and 21st Family. Gaining and expanding, Keesha decided to take a different route, another journey in her music career. She tried out for the American Music Search and was selected to become one of the few contestants chosen. Landing a deal with an independent label in North Carolina called “One in the Chamber”, the deal gave her a chance to perform solo and travel to various cities. Though a great experience, the journey ended abruptly and Keesha Danielle decided to take a break from music, finishing school and obtaining a nursing degree.
Able to better express her thoughts through her lyrics, Keesha Danielle decided to return to her first love, music…her passion, and now she is stronger than ever.
